I Hate the Internet!

Hi guys!

Well, I'm totally bummed. I really don't want to have to do this but my heart broke when I saw that someone took my suitcase cat bed and posted it as their own on their blog. Posting like they took the pictures and did all the work. That's one reason why I haven't posted all week. I wanted to think about how to handle this.

I had my suitcase bed featured on two blogs, one of which I contacted and one that contacted me to ask permission to link/post back to it. While I completely appreciate being asked first and have zero problem with people using my pictures { as long as they are linked back to me,} please don't take my ideas or content and claim them as your own.

I love this blog and love being able to share ideas with people. And seeing what I saw, makes me want to not do it.

So, from here on out you'll see the lovely copyright notice on the bottom of the page and some sort of branding on my pictures {which sucks because it'll take even LONGER for Picnik to edit it}

That is so awful! I hope you called them out on stealing your photos and everything! I totally understand and I would hate for anyone to do that to me. I don't want you to stop posting cool projects though! I'm so sorry. :(

Oh no! What a bummer -- I hate the idea that someone tried to pawn off your wonderful ideas as their own. Sadly though, I'm afraid this kind of IP theft is all too common on the WWW.... :(

That totally sucks and is so uncool! We missed you this week, and I hope this doesn't keep you from filling us in on your awesome projects in the future. I'm sending bad vibes to the uncool person that did that!

So sorry that happened! I used to post a lot of my drawings online and then I found other ppl taking credit for them, which led me not to post them anymore :(

Hopefully karma will take care of it ;)

Aw, BOOOOO! Why can't people just come up with their own ideas? Gollee!

But miss smartypants is right, karma will take care of them better than you ever could so just let it happen sweetie!

On another blog of mine I regularly post turorials from other makers but i ALWAYS only ever post the links to their tutorial, make sure that everyone knows which clever and brilliant maker came up with the idea with links to their blog/website and if I use a single pic to illustrate the make I contact the maker direct. I would expect the same in return as I post my own makes too. You have every right to be momumentally fed up but don't let it deter you - I've only just discovered your blog and think it is brilliant.

Thanks for all of your support guys. It was sort of a low blow but I guess it comes with the territory right? Still stinks. :(
