Warning: The Sims 3

I'm just going to go ahead and give you a heads up. The Sims 3 is released tomorrow.

I've been a huge Sims addict since it's first release in 2000. It's my guilty pleasure. It's like playing house and I get that same feeling after you've been on a huge shopping spree. That feeling of "OMG I bought so many cute things!" Which is safe for me. I get to decorate and run people's lives! Just what I love to do! My husband said yesterday he was looking forward to the Sims 3 release so maybe our "bank account can recover from the new butt hole I've ripped it lately" {direct quote} I actually laughed then realized he wasn't laughing. So I am on notice...again. Boo!

Actually, I'll tell you a secret that some know but most don't. I'm a huge gamer. I started playing MMORPG's in 1999 after a former boyfriend would play this game called "Asheron's Call" for hours on end and I was completely ignored. So I said screw it and bought it to see what the hoop-la was all about. I haven't looked back since.

I've played everything from "Everquest," "World of Warcraft" {who hasn't}"Dark Age of Camelot," "Shadowbane," Warhammer" and a few other random games through the years. The Sims doesn't *really* have any street cred in the gaming world

I haven't really sat down and played since November of last year when all of the holidays started. But I am completely and totally looking forward to this game.
Don't worry! I've got some posts cued up for ya and you'll never know I've been playing in my virtual dollhouse!
Here's to making your Sims Woo Hoo,

I love the Sims. I remember when it came out in 2000 and I was in college. My roomie and I used to take turns playing and we'd literally go ALL NIGHT LONG. Problem is though, now that I have a fulltime job, I'm always afraid to start playing games lest I get similarly sucked in (and subsequently fired!).

I tried playing one of the SIMS games before and I just sucked at it! Oh well. I'm better at draining the bank account when being ignored too! I'll have to stick with that I suppose. Although blogging can be like my online gaming I suppose.

I am stopping by to give you a big welcome to the SITStahood. We're so glad you could join us and look forward to seeing you around!

I cannot even begin to express how much I love and have been looking forward to the SIMS 3!! WOO HOOO!!! It's like barbie dolls for adults. And me? I loved me some barbies. With Sims2 I had a legacy family with over 10 generations and very intricate story lines -- pretty much made up in my head. The nerd in me just loves that game. :) So I'm with you. I feel ya!

When the Sims 1 came out, I didn't leave me house for 3 days. I mean , shades down, didn't shower, didn't even answer the phone. Gross huh?

Tamara--Yay, a fellow Simmer! I'm all about micromanagment, so this game is right up my alley. Plus, you can go and get great custom content online, so it's like shopping for home decor stuff, without the price.
