Like I Promised: Second Project with the Beloved Frosted Glass Spray

I am totally into this frosted glass spray. I mean, I am not going around spraying all of my windows or anything, but I think this next little ditty turned out alright.

Not sure if you would classify this as a curio cabinet, but it's a cabinet nonetheless. Picked up this beauty at Goodwill for....$3.99!

It looked like maybe someone bought it to paint and then just never did. It was dirty and half broken. But I fixed her, painted her and made her pretty again!

Not sure if you noticed, but I did a bit of "stenciling", which, took FOREVER. I cut a rounded edged stencil for the border, and used a craft stencil for the little birds {shocker right?!}

It was sot of reverse stenciling. I had to trace the stencil, then cut it out and place the cut outs on the glass {using my spray adhesive method like I did with the doily}

One thing I'd do different: make the border stencil wider. I feel like you can't see the adorable fabric through the door so much.

Whadda think? I still need to touch up some tings but overall, I think it's stinking cute!

I just found your blog and I'm so excited! I love your projects and I can't wait to try them. We just bought a house that needs LOTS of decorating and it's kind of overwhelming. I'd love to know where your favorite Goodwills and flea markets are so I can get started! :-)

Desiree welcome!! Oh my gosh, you are in Dallas! Yay!!! We've got a few gals here from Dallas. We should organize a Goodwill Saturday and hit up a few stores.

Some of my favorite Goodwills:

The Dallas one is my favorite. They've got a better selection of actual small pieces of furniture. The Carrollton one has better knick knacks.

There is another resale shop in The Colony but I can't remember the name of it. Dreamer should be able to chime in with the name {she recommended it to me}

I also want to make a trip to NW Highway and the Tollway. I hear there is a great thrift shop called "St. Vincents" and I hear nothing but fantastic things.

I'm for it! Anytime starting next weekend I'm available - I have no plans to go out of town. With the house and the new puppy we'll be sticking close to home!
