Here's a History Lesson!

Gabe and I are back from Tennessee. We were there not even 48 hours. The weather was so nice and so not humid and windy like it is here in Texas. I wanted to share a few pictures with you that I took.
Bullet holes in the side of the farm office building from 1864

Since I am from Franklin, TN, I never really appreciated the sights that I had seen for about 15 years. Gabe is a huge history buff, so I decided to take him to the Carter House, where the Battle of Franklin took place.

I ended up taking pictures of some of the windows, actually more pictures than you are probably interested in. The glass was the original glass, so it looked wavy when you looked through it. It is amazing that these buildings are still standing and in such good shape. I love old stuff, {you know how I roll} so this was right up my alley.

Here is my Grandmother's snowball bush in her back yard. It was so incredibly gorgeous. I wish it were so scorching hot in Texas. I'd love to have one of these.

Can you tell I secretly want to be a photographer. Wait..I secretly want to be good at taking pictures. I always blame the digital camera. but I think it might just be me.
