Let's Take a Tour: Guest Bathroom

As you may {or probably don't} remember, we bought our house as a foreclosure. We really got a great deal. So when we first looked at our house, it was like Rainbow Bright from outer space had lived here. We had colors like Barbie pink in high gloss paint in one room. The formal dining room was "Prince Purple" as I liked to call it. The entryway was baby blue, cobalt blue with silver metallic paint on all of the trim. Yeah, you get my drift.

Righteous!

In lieu of our bird discussion, I wanted to revisit the guest bathroom. But since I posted pics last of this redo, I've put a bit more into it and wanted to share.

Here is the bathroom before:

Builder white. So it was nice to have a blank canvas to work with.

I searched for months and months for the perfect shower curtain. I knew exactly what I wanted and when I spotted it at Target, I knew it was meant to be.

BIRDS!!!

I took a chance and totally did a decor faux pas- I painted the ceiling. And I really am glad I did. I feel like it makes the room look bigger. There's no definition of where the wall ends and the ceiling begins.

I got lucky and found a crap ton of wrought iron stuff at Hobby Lobby {my favorite!} and just hit it quick like with dark brown spray paint. I really love this bathroom and wish it were mine. Between the 50% off sale at Hobby Lobby and Target's sale on bathroom stuff, I spent a total of maybe $150.00 on this gem of a loo.
