Weekend Show and Tell

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I'm a little bummed. I lost 2 followers over the weekend. I suppose that's what I get for my inconsistent posting, eh? But I'm so glad you're still here! I'd hug you if I could!

Anyway, I wanted to let you in a a little sneak peek on what *I* was laboring over all weekend! And when I say labor, I totally mean it. So much so that every part of my body aches. More on why later.

I'd like to line the back of the cabinets with something cute. I'm thinking my best bet would be wrapping paper. What do you think? Have any other ideas instead of wrapping paper? I'd love to hear!

Ampersands and Jig Saws: How I *Didn't* Lose Any Fingers

Back in my "I'm going to be a artist!" phase (i.e. college) I was into Typography. I've always had a appreciating for type and the way it curves, specifically Ampersands. I love the way they look in any font.

How can you not like that?

I've seen a lot of Ampersands lately.  From just hanging out on a shelf, to actually hanging on a wall.

I decided to poke around online and see what sort of large ampersands I could find. Unfortunately, I couldn't find many that I liked. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. Plus I've got a unopened Jig Saw in my garage that needed to be broken in.

Dallas Flea- Here We Come!

 

Hey gals! Just wanted to drop a reminder about the upcoming field trip to The Dallas Flea on March 13th (that's one week from THIS Saturday!!) We'll meet there about 11:00 AM and there's a $5.00 charge to get in.

What do you think? It's going to be great and what would be *the* GREATEST? If we saw your shining little face there!

Desiree over at Hitting My Stride has also invited us over to her house for a little after-party-get-together if you're so inclined. I definitely will be there! I'm dying to meet this monster named Maya.

You know we've all seen them and most of them are absolutely, 100% BETTER!

I always try to keep an eye out for that unique chair that I know I could make special and give life back to. This guy was just sitting by himself in the corner of my Goodwill store. I liked the detail on the top of the chair back so I decided it was coming home with me!
